Dr Piercey completed his medical school training in Tasmania in 2005. He later took up an opportunity to move to Queensland with his family to undertake specialist training in orthopaedics, and subsequently completed sub-specialist training in spine surgery, with spine fellowships at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (Orthopaedic Spine) and John Hunter Hospital (Neurosurgical Spine as the AO spine fellow).

Dr Piercey treats patients with individualised care, ensuring that treatment options are personalised to the patient within the confines of evidence-based practice.
