Wally Bourdelov – Chief Executive Officer
Wally Bourdelov has over 40 years in the health industry in both Australia and overseas. He has a diverse background experience including clinical (ICU and Emergency specialisations), education and management within public, private, defence, aged care and private equity.
Wally has completed community and volunteering service within St John Ambulance and emergency services. Wally originally hails from Adelaide in South Australia but relocated in the mid 90’s with most of his time spent in South East Queensland. Wally has qualifications in nursing (Critical Care and Emergency), both undergraduate and post graduate, education, management and business/marketing. Outside work, Wally greatly enjoys travel, a minor microlight flying hobby and tinkering in property investments
Director of Nursing – Jamie Wann
Jamie Wann has been Director of Nursing of St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital since August 2019. His career includes clinical, leadership and management roles within the public and private sectors throughout the Darling Downs region over the past 10 years. Jamie is a registered nurse- possessing a Bachelor of Nursing, Masters in Nursing and Masters in Mental Health Nursing. Jamie has a strong passion and commitment for patient safety and quality, the delivery of exceptional patient care and positive organisational culture.
Director of Finance – Scott McConnel
Scott is a qualified accountant and senior executive with more than 25 years’ experience across a diverse range of industries in the private and public sectors, both in Australia and internationally. He has a strong track record of leading continuous improvement and driving change, and in strategic planning for sustainability. Scott completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree with first-class honours in 1994 and was accepted into the prestigious BHP Billiton four-year graduate program, before spending seven years working in London’s financial services industry at senior and director level. He joined Queensland Health in 2011, leading significant financial turnrounds, whilst maintaining or improving patient outcomes and experience, as Chief Finance Officer at Darling Downs and Wide Bay Hospital and Health Services. In 2018, Scott was recognised by his peers across Australia when he was presented with the national Finance Leader of the Year award by the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He is a Fellow of Certified Practicing Accountants Australia and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
