St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital has an appointed Medical Advisory Committee (MAC). The major function of the committee is to be the formal organisational structure that ensures clinical services, procedures or interventions are provided by competent medical practitioners and to be a mode of communication between Executives and Practitioners to facilitate the safe provision of patient services and the application of appropriate policies and procedures. The committee also ensures all Accredited Practitioners at St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital are appropriately qualified and registered, consistent with the hospital’s by-laws.

Members of the Medical Advisory Committee include::

  • Chief Executive Officer
  • Director of Nursing
  • Director of Medical Services
  • Representatives from various specialist groups

Meetings are held bi-monthly and members are elected by their craft group.
