St Andrew’s is pleased to announce that following the completion of his International Fellowships in the United Kingdom, Dr Craig Brownlie has established his onsite private practice at the Hospital from January, 2021.

 

Originally from the Queensland town of Mungindi and schooled locally in Toowoomba, Dr Brownlie completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at The University of Queensland in 2008. He subsequently went on to specialise in Orthopaedic Surgery, completing his training in Perth, Western Australia.

 

Achieving his Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in January 2019, Dr Brownlie most recently completed several International Shoulder Fellowships in the United Kingdom, specialising in all aspects of shoulder and upper limb surgery at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Scotland and the Royal London Hospital, England.  During his time in the UK, Dr Brownlie also completed a Fellowship in complex hip and knee replacement at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

 

In addition to general Orthopaedics, Dr Brownlie will be offering services in the areas of:

 

  • Arthroscopic rotator cuff surgery;
  • Arthroscopic and open shoulder stabilisation surgery;
  • Shoulder replacement surgery, both anatomical and reverse;
  • Hip and knee arthroplasty;
  • Orthopaedic trauma.
