Dr Wilfred Lim

Dr Wilfred Lim is a specialist anaesthetist who aims to make anaesthetic care calm, clear and individualised. He takes time to understand each patient’s health and concerns, explain what to expect and develop an anaesthetic plan focused on safety, comfort, effective pain relief and a smooth recovery.

Wilfred has more than 15 years of experience in anaesthesia across public and private practice. He works as a specialist anaesthetist at Toowoomba Hospital, where he previously served as Director of Anaesthesia. He has extensive experience caring for patients with complex medical conditions and managing anaesthesia for both elective and emergency surgery.

Wilfred is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and holds a Master of Medicine in Anaesthesiology. He also holds an Inter-University Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia and Analgesia from the University of Montpellier. His particular interests are ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia and point-of-care ultrasound.

His broader medical practice includes occupational and environmental medicine and aerospace medicine.
