Dr Matthew Cheng

Dr Matthew Cheng is a Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who completed his surgical training in Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and a member of both the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. His clinical practice includes skin cancer surgery and reconstructive procedures.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr Cheng is deeply committed to research. He holds a PhD from the Queensland University of Technology, where he investigated breast tissue engineering – research that has been featured on the ABC and in other major media outlets. His contributions to the field of breast surgery are pioneering, and he remains dedicated to advancing surgical techniques and patient outcomes.

Beyond his private practice, Dr Cheng serves as a Staff Specialist at Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he is actively involved in patient care and surgical education.
