We are pleased to welcome a new Physician to our onsite team, from 1st October, 2020.  Dr Amy Hsieh is an Endocrinologist and General Physician and currently holds a part time public appointment at the Toowoomba Hospital.  She has been in the Toowoomba area in the public sector for over a year and is keen to establish a thriving private practice at St Andrew’s Hospital.

Graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine in 2009, Dr Hsieh completed her Physician’s Training in Endocrinology at the Greenslopes Private and Townsville Hospitals.  She also completed further training in Adult Internal Medicine at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospitals.

Dr Hsieh now joins Neurologist Dr Ron Siu’s practice of specialist physicians in the onsite medical suites at St Andrew’s Hospital and will be offering inpatient reviews, outpatient clinics and telehealth consultations.

Dr Hsieh’s interests span across all areas of general Endocrinology including:

• Management of type 1 and 2 diabetes;
• Thyroid disorders;
• Adrenal disease;
• Calcium disorders and bone/osteoporosis.

With a background in General Medicine, Dr Hsieh endeavours to provide holistic care for patients, with clear explanations and warm bedside manner to facilitate discussions and support patients through complex health issues.
