Following the retirement of our long serving Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr Wai Ki Pun at the end of 2019, the Hospital has now been fortunate to secure the services of a young, energetic Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr Samuel Duff.
Commencing consultations and surgery onsite from late February, 2020 Dr Duff comes to St Andrew’s from Perth, after initially training as a Physiotherapist. As a Physiotherapist, Dr Duff appreciated the holistic approach to rehabilitation, which ultimately led him to his interest in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr Duff’s new practice, in addition to general orthopaedics, will be offering the following surgical services:
- Direct anterior hip arthroplasty (muscle sparing);
- Computer navigated knee arthroplasty;
- Soft tissue / sports knee surgery;
- Foot and ankle surgery;
- Shoulder rotator cuff repair;
- Orthopaedic trauma.
Outside of work he enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife, raising their two young boys. Dr Duff has a keen interest in medical research and overseas medical aid volunteering, having undertaken many trips to the Comoros Islands treating children with Clubfoot and Rickets Disease.
Dr Duff is located onsite at St Andrew’s Hospital at the following location:
