The St Andrew's Toowoomba Hospital Diagnositc Breast Clinic was established to provide women in the Toowoomba and Darling Downs Region access to:

• Specialist team of breast clinicians, surgeons and radiologists.

Breast cancer is treatable and positive outcomes are achievable if diagnosed early. Clients who experience breast symptoms, lumps or pain or who have a family history of breast cancer, should have their concerns addressed immediately.

Each person's symptoms are addressed on an individual basis. Often, several complementary investigations are required during the visit to provide a complete and accurate diagnosis.

A history of symptoms is taken and a breast examination carried out. A mammogram or ultrasound scan may also be required during the consultation, dependent upon symptoms, age and family history.

Our specialist team of radiologists, surgeons and the clinic doctor discuss symptoms and investigations and, if treatment is required, a management plan will be formulated.
