We are pleased to advise that Dr Shameer Ahmed has commenced full time private practice on site at St Andrews Hospital.

His Cardiology and Electrophysiology interests include:

• Diagnostic Coronary Angiograms;
• Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED) insertions;
• Non invasive tests such as Echocardiogram, Stress Test, Holter Test reporting, Cardioversion and Trans Oesophageal Echocardiogram;
• Syncope, Palpitations, Electrophysiology studies including Radiofrequency Cardiac Ablations for SVT, Atrial Flutter, AV Node Ablation etc.

The addition of Dr Ahmed’s skills to the St Andrew’s existing team of Cardiologists strengthens the Hospital’s 24 hour, 7 day a week comprehensive cardiology service.

As Dr Ahmed will be moving his family to Toowoomba and will be permanently residing in the local area, he will play an integral role in the on call Cardiologist’s roster for the Hospital.
