What our patients are saying

Ø      My stay with you all was a joy and deeply appreciated.  The staff were wonderful, happy and pleasant and willing to go the extra mile to make me feel at home. The quietness was something I have not experienced before in a hospital.

Ø      Card received:  I recently spent a night in your hospital following minor surgery by Dr Wilson. Although my stay was very brief I could not have asked for better or more efficient care from your staff.  From the time of my admission to that of my departure everybody was outstanding. The entire process was one of efficiency. I would like to thank you and all of your staff for what was a stress-free and happy experience.  The residents of Toowoomba have every reason to be proud and grateful for St Andrew’s Hospital.

Ø      Most helpful staff I’ve had in 5 hospital stays – everyone has been great.

Ø      Once again I wish to complement all nurses and doctors at St Andrew’s for their kind and skilful efforts to tend to my health problems, indeed “a home away from home”.

Ø      As my wife and I were leaving X-ray, I had put Mum in the car and I started to return the wheelchair. A wardsman was walking past me and saw me with the empty chair and asked where I was returning it to. When I told him in the next building, he said, "Here, leave it with me. I'm going that way." Thank you. Thank you.

Ø      What a way to turn 75! I can’t thank the staff and doctors, my life savers, enough!  Thank you.

Ø      All of the staff were very good.  They were ‘on the ball’ and treated each patient as an individual. Keep up the good work.

Ø      A short note to express my gratitude for the superb support we were offered in the terminal care of Margaret. I am pleased to say that whilst a sad time, her twilight was quite joyous, without fear and great control of pain. My sincere thanks.

Ø      To all the nurses and staff of East Ward that have cared for me during my two very long battles this year.  I have appreciated everything you have done for me. Very helpful and thoughtful from the beginning. Your qualities combined are extremely rare. Thank you all so very much.

Ø      You have the finest group of nurses that the best hospital in the world could not compete with. Thank you to everyone.

Ø      Thank you so much for the excellent care and support throughout my stay.  I am not a good patient but you all made me feel safe and that made the world of difference to my beautiful family. Thank you.

Ø      All nurses were lovely and really good with my son. Their friendliness and patience was greatly appreciated.

Ø      Nursing staff during my stay were professional and friendly.  The building and wards have a pleasant feel to them.

Ø      I wish to thank all the girls at the front desk. Thank you for making me feel so at home, especially right at the beginning of my treatment when everything was so strange at first. You were all such a help in the process of me coming to terms with my cancer..

Ø      The meals are superb, meat not heated in microwave and tastes like home made and hot. Congratulations to the chefs.

Ø      Thank you to all staff for the wonderful care you have given Bill following his two recent ops.  We both appreciate your skills and kindness during this worrying time.  Bill is doing well and being eased into light duties at home i.e. washing up! A sincere thank you.

Ø      The patience and persistence of all staff is greatly appreciated.  The family is well aware of how difficult mum can be at times.  Job well done!

Ø      All the staff were excellent in every way.  They are courteous, professional and super efficient.  They never complained and always appeared interested in my ramblings and abstract conversation. I will be happy to come again. God bless, you are doing a fine job.

Ø      I found all of the staff and nurses very caring and helpful.  They made me feel welcome and important.  I never felt alone and they went out of their way to make my stay very comfortable.  I owe them a great debt, they were all lovely.

Ø      Cannot speak highly enough of the dedication and kindness of your staff (nursing and domestic). Well done!

Ø      Everyone in ICU was wonderful and treated my mother with the best of care during a very difficult time.  Many many thanks.

Ø      We wanted to thank you all for the care you gave to our mum.  Mum appreciated all you did for her – your kindness, professionalism and wisdom.  We also wanted to thank you for the way you cared for us.  Nothing was ever a bother and we appreciated your warmth.

Ø      The Nurse made a special effort for each patient to feel special through positive comments or sharing a moment with them.

Ø      Thank you to the staff of West Ward. They were such a great team and special thanks to Sharon for her care on my admission to West Ward.  She was 5 star: outstanding.

Ø      The kitchen ladies are so friendly and thoughtful

Ø      To all my dear CMU and ICU nurses who cared for me after my heart attack.  I thank you all for being such wonderfully special people.  God bless you all.

Ø      My husband has just undergone 2 major surgeries in the past month. May I take this opportunity of singing both his and my praises for the wonderful staff members who have shown him such love and caring during his hospitalisation.  Thank you one and all and not forgetting Dr Rebecca Jack.

Ø      St Andrews is blessed to have such a wonderfully dedicated staff who not only deserve a pat on the back – but big hugs as well.  Naturally some stars shine brighter than others, easily identified as having instinctively known their destiny of caring for others.

Ø      All staff members have been exceptionally helpful, obliging, happy, courteous and management should be proud of their staff.

Ø      Many thanks for your support and excellent care during my recent stay. Hospital probably wasn’t where I wanted to be, however, I appreciate the marked improvement in my health after two weeks with you. I’ll always remember your professionalism and understanding.
