The objects of the Hospital are:

  • To conduct and maintain a true community hospital in which Jesus Christ is proclaimed as Healer and Redeemer and in which religious services are conducted for patients and staff with due regard for their personal freedom.
  • To provide hospital and nursing services for the public, irrespective of religious beliefs, which services include non-paying, intermediate and private beds.
  • To establish a training school whether or not in collaboration with any other authority or in conformity with any other statute for the training of medical students, nurses, physiotherapists and others who are engaged in any service which is ancillary to medical treatment.


To do, make, perform and execute all such further acts, matters and things which may be essential to carry out the above objects.

Hospital Accreditation

St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital is a teaching hospital for the University of Queensland (UQ) and is member of the Australian Private Hospital’s Association (APHA) and the Private Hospital’s Association of Queensland (PHAQ). The hospital is also accreditated with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS).
